Silk Care
Your Seluna mask is 22 momme mulberry silk with a silk floss filling. A gentle wash keeps it soft for years.
Washing
- Fill a basin with cool water and add a little soap made for silk, such as Heritage Park Silk and Wool Wash or The Laundress Delicate Wash. Regular detergent strips the silk's natural sheen.
- Swish the mask through the water, then rub it gently between your fingertips, mostly where it touches your face. This lifts skin oils without roughing up the silk. Do not scrub, twist, or wring.
- Rinse in clean cool water until no soap remains.
Drying
- Press the mask gently between the folds of a towel to soak up some of the water.
- The silk floss filling and the strap hold a lot of water, so hang the mask over a towel and let it drip. Keep it in the shade; direct sun fades and weakens silk.
- Point a fan at it to speed up drying, and let it dry all the way through before you use it.
Please avoid
- Washing machines, tumble dryers, and radiators
- Bleach and fabric softener
- Direct sunlight while it dries
